Why this role exists?<\/h2><\/div>

To oversee the delivery of timely and accurate monthly management information to relevant internal and external stakeholders. To ensure yourself and your team maintain and develop strong relationships within the Finance Team, Customers, and the wider Group Business Services Teams. Along with having strong relationships with the Finance Management Team you will act within the wider Calico Homes Management team to promote and influence the strategic direction of Calico Homes. You and your team will provide an efficient and effective accountancy service for Calico Homes.<\/p>\n

To promote the use of efficient systems and develop new ways of working to support the wider group. This role will be part of the Calico Homes Operations teams key decision-making process and influence future planning and business direction.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

How this role will deliver success<\/h2><\/div>

The role will oversee the production of accurate and timely management information to stakeholders, so they are well-informed with timely financial information in relation to operations. This will be done by creating, developing, and improving existing management information for Calico Homes to support improving the understanding of non-financial managers and the key performance indicators effecting their business.<\/p>\n

The Finance Manager will work closely with the Calico Homes Operations team and improve their understanding of the financial impact of decisions. Assisting them to make informed decisions that impact of the financial performance of Calico Homes and the wider Group. The role will lead and oversee the delivery of effective Business Partnering within your team to support the relevant areas of the business, this is to ensure financial input into planning and execution of projects is completed.<\/p>\n

The role will lead and oversee the setting realistic and challenging budgets with detailed information that allows for successful budget monitoring and reporting so that the business performs as per agreed expectations. While developing and improving existing operational finance systems and processes. This will be done by ensuring they are efficient, effective, and fit for purpose for the users and your customers.<\/p>\n

The Finance Manager is responsible for relevant Balance Sheets. Ensuring adequate financial controls are in place and that all balance sheet account reconciliations are carried out in a timely manner with discrepancies being investigated and resolved you will give accurate information to all stakeholders, and we are operating within Group and legal requirements<\/p>\n

You and your team will support with providing assurance against all regulatory and legislative requirements including delivery of annual statutory accounts. This will include building solid relationships with our internal and external auditors to deliver strong internal controls ensuring the accuracy of our financial information.<\/p>\n

The Finance Manager and their team will ensure a Value for Money (VFM) culture is embedded and contributes to the strength of the Group. They will also deliver effective management of long-term projects; you will ensure that projects delivery on time and within budget and any variation to this is understood by the relevant managers.<\/p>\n

It is the responsibility of the Finance Manager to develop a team culture with high levels of employee engagement and motivation. This will ensure that our customers will receive the highest levels of service. The finance teams and customers are kept well-informed with timely financial information in relation to operations and the relevant implications.<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Lead, produce and distribute a monthly set of accounts including an Operational finance report which includes input from, various parts of Homes Operations and the Finance team. Creating a budget and reviewing monthly performance with our operations teams including updating forecasts. Review and prepare balance sheet reconciliations and work with the Assistant Accountants to update schedules and develop month end reporting information. Manage and support your team including holding 1-1 review meetings with your direct team reports, contributing to their professional and personal development.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
